KTL · Kozialtrans Ltd · UK linehaul & trunking operator · Milton Keynes & Durham
Established in 2015, KTL provides dedicated linehaul and trunking capacity for high-volume UK logistics networks. Operating 365 days a year from Milton Keynes, with additional capability in Durham, we combine experienced drivers, modern tractor units and owner-led decision making.
About
Kozialtrans Ltd (KTL) is a UK road transport operator based in Milton Keynes, with additional Northern operational capability through our Durham operation.
The company was founded in 2015 by Mateusz (Matt) Kozial as an owner-operator on container work out of the UK ports. That grounding — tight port slots, demurrage clocks, no margin for a missed window — is still how we think about a delivery time.
Since 2020 most of our work has been dedicated parcel linehaul supporting Amazon's UK network: a 365-day, high-volume operation with time-critical collection and delivery windows, KPI-driven performance management and frequent short-notice change. That experience shapes how we run everything — planning, driver management, compliance and communication.
We are owner-managed. Decisions are made quickly, and the person you deal with is the person accountable for the operation. We would rather run fewer contracts well, for longer, than chase volume.
Proof
High-volume. Time-critical. KPI-driven.
Services
Scheduled or ad-hoc tractor-unit movements between hubs, depots and fulfilment centres, day or night, seven days a week. We run to your timetable and report to your KPIs.
Fixed trunks between sortation centres and depots, with consistent drivers who know the sites and the windows.
A fixed unit and driver pool assigned to your lane for a defined term. One point of accountability, consistent equipment, no surprises.
Units and professional drivers under our Operator Licence. We can operate with customer-provided trailers or source suitable trailer equipment where required by the contract. Driver compliance, maintenance, tachograph management and insurance remain managed by KTL.
Additional units for seasonal peaks, network changes and volume surges. We have run Q4 peak every year for over a decade.
Three electric units in service with practical experience in range planning, charging and scheduling — for operators with decarbonisation and Scope 3 reporting objectives.
Electric operations
We run three electric tractor units alongside twelve diesel — DAF CF Electric, Volvo FM Electric and Mercedes-Benz eActros 600. They operate on scheduled trunking and hub work, with range planning, charging and driver allocation designed into the schedule rather than left to the driver.
For operators with decarbonisation and Scope 3 targets, working with a subcontractor who already runs electric on a live network is a faster route than waiting for the supply base to catch up. We are glad to share what we have learned.
EV experience — not a pilot
Our electric tractors operate within live commercial transport schedules. This gives KTL practical experience in route suitability, charging strategy, driver allocation and operational contingency planning — the questions that matter when a network plans its own fleet transition.

Gross plated weight 44 tonnes across the fleet. Maintenance to a fixed PMI schedule under our Operator Licence undertakings.
Capacity for new contracts
Licence headroom and fleet capacity allow us to mobilise up to five additional tractor units for the right dedicated lane or long-term partnership. We would rather commit that capacity to committed, sustainable partnerships than spread it across low-value spot work.

Minutes from the M1, with direct access to the Midlands, London, the South East and the major distribution corridors of the East Midlands. A unit leaves the yard already where the freight is.
Northern operational capability and support through our Durham operation — parking, driver facilities and local support — giving coverage across the North East and Northern England without positioning units from the south.
Linehaul and trunking across England, Scotland and Wales, planned around the drivers' hours and your network timetable.
How we work
Rotas planned months ahead, maintenance that never leaves the fleet short, and a plan for the unit that fails at 03:00.
A problem at 22:00 is manageable; the same problem at 04:00 is not. The phone is answered at weekends.
Driver and vehicle compliance managed in-house, with KPI reporting and audit-ready records.
Licence headroom, a driver pool for peak, and an owner who can make the decision in minutes.
Compliance & assurance
Compliance is managed as part of the operation, not as an afterthought. Supplier onboarding and due-diligence documentation can be provided to prospective partners where required.
Standard national Operator Licence authorising 20 tractor units, with the maintenance, driver and record-keeping undertakings that come with it.
Professional Class 1 (C+E) drivers with Driver CPC and digital tachograph cards. Licence checks, infringement review and drivers' hours managed in-house.
Regular card and vehicle unit downloads, analysis and infringement follow-up as a routine part of the operation.
Fixed PMI inspection intervals, daily walk-round defect reporting and rectification records for every unit on the licence.
Insurance certificates, Operator Licence details, maintenance records and driver documentation available for supplier onboarding.
Records kept in a form that can be presented to a customer audit or a DVSA inspection at short notice.
Drivers & careers
We employ Class 1 (C+E) drivers on tramping and on 12-hour day and night shifts, running modern MAN, DAF, Volvo and Mercedes-Benz tractor units — including electric — on scheduled linehaul and trunking work, 365 days a year.
We look for drivers who take pride in a clean pre-use check, keep to the window, and treat the customer's site as their own. In return you get consistent work, a planned rota, well-maintained kit and an owner who knows your name.
Partnership & transport enquiries
We are developing relationships with a small number of logistics operators, parcel networks, retailers and 3PLs where dependable capacity, direct communication and long-term performance matter — long-term linehaul partnerships, dedicated lanes and additional network capacity, including for organisations exploring practical electric HGV deployment.
If that is relevant to you, we would welcome a conversation.
